Catarratto, Nero D'Avola, Grillo, Merlot
Fabio Ferracane worked in his family cellar in the heart of Marsala since he was 15 years old, making wine from thier 3 hectare plot of Nero d'Avola and Catarrratto. After attending university for oenology and working harvests abroad, Fabio's sense of wine shifted greatly from this product to be modified or assembled in the cellar to one driven by the work in the vineyards. Fabio currently oversees 5 hectares with 2 more coming on line in Marsala, situated just in front of the Nature Reserve of the Stagnone Islands. A pragmatic approach in the cellar leads to an adaptive style of wine making, leading to wines that ring true to the salt and the sun of this slice of Sicily.
