Former Houstonians, Ricky Taylor and Katie Jablonski moved to the Chihuahuan desert of far West Texas in and have been undertaking on the most intriguing farming projects in America since 2019. At approx. 6,000 ft these Davis Mountain vineyards are some of the highest vineyards in the world. As Ricky and Katie patiently wait for these vines to come into production, they are making some of the most thrilling and honest wines in Texas (and New Mexico!) and covering a huge amount of the state in the process. Alta Marfa is one of the most exciting winemaking projects in America.
