Eric Thill

An Alsace native Eric moved with his wife Bérangère in 2007 to Jura after completing studies in Dijon. They built the estate in Trenal from scratch, starting initially with just 2.7 hectares and growing it over the years to 5.8 hectares. Eric is just one of two producers in the commune which sits about 28 miles south of Arbois. All work is done by hand in the vineyard by Eric and his wife. In true commitment to environmental they have moved to lite weight glass and recyclable corks to lessen their carbon footprint. The original focus of the winery was on single parcel and single varietals but the nature of the climate in Jura of the past few vintages has forced Eric to adapt with both parcel and varietals blends joining the roster of wines.
