SRC is based in Randazzo on Mount Etna's highly esteemed northern slope. The project began in 2012 on 12 hectares nestled amongst the woods, fruit groves and olive trees on these highly fertile volcanic soils. Minimal intervention in both the vineyard and cellar, the team at SRC holds themselves to "peasant traditions" and works with the land rather than against the will of the place itself. In addition to their plantings of Nerello Mascalese, Carricante and Nerello Cappuccio near Randazzo, they also hold plantings across some of the most heralded Contrada in all of Sicily. These wines are a fresh and precise lens into Etna and showcase how it has become one of Italy's most fascinating wine regions.
